When a person responds that she or her family member bid on your item, and she does not want it, you can cancel the sale and relist your item by following these steps:
First send her a message through eBay saying that you will cancel the transaction, but that when eBay sends her a message asking if she wanted to cancel the transaction, she needs to confirm that it is true.
To cancel the transaction:
Go to you’re My eBay
Go to Sold
When you see the item you would like to cancel, go to the dropdown arrow to the right of it (where you have the choices of send invoice, print shipping label, etc.) and click on the dropdown arrow
Select Open Unpaid Item Case / Cancel Transaction
The select Buyer bought the item in error
eBay will send her a message that she needs to respond to. Once she responds, you will receive a message from eBay that your sale has been cancelled. Your final value fees that eBay charged will be credited back to you.
Now you need to relist your item.
To relist your item, go to the same drop down menu to the right of your item and select relist
